Micro lubrication is also a simple and effective way of lubrication. The successful cases of previous applications have spread across various industries. The application of various machine tools and equipment and various cutting tools has opened a new door for our future lubrication methods.
Micro lubrication is also called minimum quantity lubrication (MQL) in English. It is a lubrication method for metal processing, i.e. semi dry cutting. It refers to a cutting method in which compressed gas (air, nitrogen, carbon dioxide, etc.) and a very small amount of lubricating oil are mixed and vaporized to form micron droplets, which are sprayed to the processing area for effective lubrication. The amount of cutting fluid is generally only 0.03 ~ 0.2l/h (the amount of traditional wet cutting is 20 ~ 100l/min), which can effectively reduce the friction between the tool and the workpiece, between the tool and the chip, prevent adhesion, prolong the tool life and improve the machining surface quality. MQL has a wide range of applications. The research on MQL at home and abroad includes almost all cutting processes, such as drilling, milling, turning and grinding.
